Tell us about your company?
Sambed Consult is a Ghana-based management consultancy startup whose main services include accounting services, business coaching, management and administrative services, investment advisory services, travel and tourism services.
Who are the founders and what are their professional backgrounds?
The company was founded by Sam Bediako-Asante, a chartered Global investment Analyst, a former Banker, a Professional Administrator and specialist of South African tourism.
He has varied work experience in banking & finance, administration and management, accounting, and tourism & travels.
How is your company financed?
Financed by owner from savings and investments.
Why did you start Sambed Consult? What opportunities did you see?
Owners of Micro, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ghana especially were not finding their foothold in such enterprises and establishments hence saw the need for such a consultancy to help these MSMEs improve their performances thereby contributing towards the country's economic growth and development.
What problem or problems does Sambed Consult solve?
Improving the management and organizational performance of businesses.
What are the usps of Sambed Consult?
Sambed Consult has a specialist service of detailed and in depth consultancy for such businesses that other companies of such nature cannot match. Sambed Consult provides an attention to detail services.
Who forms your clientele base?
Targeted customers/clients are those of the Micro, Small and Medium-sized establishments, especially in Ghana.
What would say has shaped the management consultancy industry over the years?
Business and Management Consulting is a very important business service for business establishments and other organizations but are usually not patronized by these businesses and organizations because they think they can do it all by themselves; an erroneous idea created by them, as Business and Management Consulting is a Specialist area of service.
What does Sambed Consult need in order to grow?
More funds for expansion in respect to recruitment of more staff and a bigger office.
What is your growth strategy?
Organic growth (growing from within) is the main strategy for now. But, may be, will consider an inorganic growth through mergers and acquisitions in future.
What are your expansion plans?
Sambed Consult has the aim of establishing branches in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Namibia/Botswana.
What are your plans for the coming 12 months?
Immediate plans after COVID-19 is to take advantage of those MSMEs whose businesses have been affected because of the pandemic, to link up with for business survival and expansion. We are also looking at taking advantage of the proposed AfCFTA system.
