French startup CleverConnect merges with Talentry to lead talent acquisition in Europe
CleverConnect, a cloud-based recruiting solutions company, announced the merger with Talentry, a Munich-based provider of talent relationship management solutions, to counteract the current unprecedented shortage of skilled workers with the most efficient and advanced technologies to help recruiters on a daily basis and offering fulfilling candidate experiences.
After a financing round led by Digital Plus Partners in October 2021, this merger with Talentry and the 25 million euros investment in Germany in 2022 gets CleverConnect a step closer to its ambition of being the leading European champion for Talent Acquisition solutions.
While Europe is one of the most affected markets in terms of skills shortages, HR professionals are increasingly facing a lack of quality applications and rising international competition. As a result, investments in talent management, employer branding, and high-quality job postings, as well as tools that can convert applicants into qualified talent, are becoming the focus of HR spending. Through this merger with Talentry, CleverConnect will optimally and holistically support organizations in transforming their recruitment processes to attract new qualified candidates, engage them in a sustainable relationship and reveal their skills and potential, as well as offering candidates a fulfilling experience .
CleverConnect stands for the revolution in recruiting. With an innovative, future-proof solution portfolio, the European HRTech. scale-up has secured 30 million euros in a financing round in October 2021. The company is already helping more than 2,500 companies digitize and optimize their recruiting process. The product portfolio includes a SaaS solution for time-shifted video interviews, intelligent career pages with AI, and a matching technology for resumes. Potential talents can thus be addressed and converted into applicants in an efficient and modern way.
Started as a student startup in Munich, Talentry has been one of the leading providers of cloud-based talent relationship management since 2013. With its award-winning Talent Relationship Platform, the company accompanies customers in every phase of the application process in order to efficiently find the best talents across all available channels and to retain them in the long term.
Part of this merger, renowned investors of Talentry like Carsten Thoma (founder of Hybris – acquired by SAP – and one of the most innovative thought leaders in the tech industry), and Bastian Nominacher and Alex Rinke (co-founders of Celonis, a Decacorn and provider of execution management and process mining) join CleverConnect’s investors. Carl Hoffmann, founder and CEO of Talentry GmbH joins CleverConnect as a co-founder immediately.
Louis Coulon, Co-founder, CleverConnect: ''Today, no organization can afford to neglect candidate experience and forgo recruitment transformation. We’ve been impressed by Talentry’s culture, values and innovative products and even more by the complementarity with ours. With this merger, we are fully committed to develop an integrated platform that offers a holistic approach to talent acquisition, from attraction to retention. I am very pleased to welcome the wonderful team members of Talentry and am convinced that together we can become a European-born Global leader.''
With this merger, CleverConnect becomes a 270-employees company with strong French and German foundations and a unique position to claim European championship. In 2022, CleverConnect will realize over 70% growth in revenues and consolidate its leadership on the Talent Acquisition market, combining European expansion and product enrichment, both with internal and external operations.
Carl Hoffmann, Founder and CEO, Talentry GmbH: ''CleverConnect and Talentry not only share a deep expertise in HR and recruiting, we also share the same company values and strive for one mission: provide fulfilling job opportunities for everyone. The skills shortage has reached enormous proportions and will continue to plague companies around the world. So it is only logical that we join forces and face this challenge together with CleverConnect to support our customers in the best possible way. I am therefore very much looking forward to the German-French cooperation at eye level and to an exciting time full of ideas, further development and growth.''
